Mrs. Mrg Simon is Chief Idea Officer of Designed 2 Stick, a home organizing and graphic design + communications firm. She is a KonMari Certified Consultant, and follows Marie Kondo's approach to home tidying and organizing. She also provides strategic communication and training for businesses large and small, and to governmental entities, drawing on her years of work in municipal law. She manages the legal and business strategies for Designed 2 Stick, and is responsible for thought leadership for the organization.
As a KonMari Certified Consultant, Mrg enjoys sharing her enthusiasm for "The Life-Changing Magic of Tidying," (Marie Kondo's defining book on her strategy) to guide others as they experience the transformation that comes from changing our relationship to our belongings and clutter, and focus on what each person envisions their future to be. Surrounding yourself with objects that bring you joy - whether that's a pair of socks, a book, or a family heirloom - and discarding things that have served their purpose has the power to change your outlook on everything. Mrg does residential and business KonMari sessions with clients and she also speaks to small groups and conducts mini workshops on the KonMari Method(TM) of folding clothes and more!
As a graphic designer, Mrg draws on her experience in illustration, photography, and fine art to leverage the visual media as a pivotal element of effective communication of every form. Her digital designs include website and mobile, as well as commercial and editorial work based primarily on Adobe Creative Suite programs. Much of her work is inspired by her deep roots in South Dakota and love of the Great Plains. She is equally comfortable developing traditional brand assets for small businesses in the visitor and KonMari industries, as she is designing event and merchandise items for clients with a modern style. She is a Microsoft®️ PowerPoint whiz, and dreams of a world free from the plague of "death by PowerPoint."
Artistically, Mrg works in a wide variety of media: pencil drawings, watercolor and acrylic paintings, textiles, found objects, photography, digital, and anything else that might spark her creative energy. She is a life-long fan of impressionism and the Mid-Century Modern style. The subjects of her work reflect simplicity, often capturing humor and abstract ideas. Her interests extend to interior design, and she embraces the words of William Morris "Have nothing in your house that you do not know to be useful, or believe to be beautiful."
