A casual conversation with my older sister one September turned to pheasant hunting and the latest edition of the "South Dakota Magazine." The cover story for its September/October 2018 issue celebrated the 100th Anniversary of the first "Opening Day" with stories in its pages bringing to life the hunting heritage of the state, and how the pheasant season serves as a way to connect with friends, family, and a few characters now and then.
The cover story and our conversation stayed in the back of my mind, and when I got home, I took an existing pheasant doodle of mine, digitized and edited it. By the next day, I had my first hunting-themed sticker! Others followed quickly after, and I found people asking where they could get one of their own. Today, I sell these designs - as stickers, sweatshirts, and other items - as one aspect of my business, which provides consulting services for branding and marketing, and executive training. Retail sales are available on my website, and at select stores. Wholesale inquiries are welcome! Many people ask me how stickers (of all things!) have anything to do with building a business brand, promoting a community or event, or providing executive training. For me, it boils down to the basics. If you can distill your message down to a sticker, then it will make a lasting impression.
