RCA Ellsworth Air Force Base, SD Airport Code postcard
For all who enjoy the history aviation and the role of Army Air Bases in South Dakota during World War II, this post card is a great souvenir. Inspired by commercial airline luggage tags and the "Hand Baggage" tags used by the Army in the 1940s, the face of this card includes the information the Army required on soldiers' baggage. The letters RCA are the FAA-assigned location code, based on its original designation as the Rapid City Army Air Base (RC AAB), and now know as Ellsworth Air Force Base. The card includes facts about the development of the local Air Force Base, its current name, and more. It is a one-of-a-kind memento, especially for anyone who has called this base home.
This 6"x4" postcard is made of one-side-coated paper for a brilliant image, and an uncoated reverse side for easy writing. It was designed and printed in South Dakota.
Price includes sales tax. Shipping and handling charges will be added at checkout.
