PHP Philip SD Airport Code postcard
This post card celebrates the rich history of aviation in South Dakota. It tells how the efforts of the local Chamber of Commerce and American Legion Post were important in the decision of Rapid Air Lines to include a stop in Philip on its early routes in the late 1920s. This is a one-of-a-kind memento, reminiscent of a luggage tag from the days of early commercial passenger service, uses the red and blue color scheme of Rapid Air Lines. The letters PHP are the assigned FAA location identifier for Philip's municipal airport in western South Dakota, near Badlands National Park. It makes a great souvenir and adds a local touch to jotting off a quick note to family and friends!
This 6"x4" postcard is made of one-side-coated paper for a brilliant image, and an uncoated reverse side for easy writing. It was designed and printed in South Dakota.
